about

This is my new single Fiction Baby. It is a small, but hopefully significant, addition to my recorded output. Since the recording of my debut LP Jericho Blues, I've been writing a lot and trying to figure out what I wanted my next project to sound like. It seems that what I had in me was pure, straightforward rock'n'roll. I wrote these songs after studying the music of The Replacements, Husker Du and Guided By Voices (to name a few). I hope you enjoy these songs as much as I enjoyed writing, recording and producing them.

Track Name: Fiction Baby
I've medicated a time or two
To get my worried mind in tune
Seconds pass and hours bloom
And I can't seem to get a clue

The hardest part is knowing that you know
Fiction baby never takes it slow

If you can't see what I've become
Then you can't see what's gonna come
Before it starts I'm on the run
Watch me fall, it's half the fun

The hardest part is knowing that you know
Fiction baby never takes it slow

When we part, you'll know it's all a show
Fiction baby you don't have to go
Track Name: GLM
This hard heart of mine
Has no choice but to seek you
Is there something you could do with this life?
O to die, not for myself but for another
Is there any other way to get by?

Every step I take
I feel a little bit father away
Then You reveal Your grace
Love and mystery

Whenever I fall
You pick me up without good reason
You pick me up and say, "come back home"
Every time I call
You say, "be still, and know"

Every step I take
I feel a little bit father away
Then You reveal Your grace
Love and mystery
